Carthage Museum

The scenographic concept focuses on the idea of immersion, creating a "narrative space" that is playful, evocative, and educational.

  • Space to Space: The abstraction of walls and existing boundaries through illusory treatments of surfaces and lighting allows visitors to feel like they are in an extended and expansive space, detached from geometric reality.

  • Space to Module: Creating a volumetric module to structure the museographic staging. A simple cube: The cube allows for various arrangements, enabling the creation of showcases, pedestals, supports, seating changes, levels, shelters, and a new delineation of space. Its shape signals its role and becomes part of the scenographic event. The module's arrangement can also facilitate the creation of specific subspaces, enhancing the fluidity of the spatial narrative.

  • Object to Visitor: Thus, the visitor can focus their gaze on the displayed artifacts and the "narrative scenes" in place.

  • Object to Object: The exhibition of archaeological elements aims to stage items such as jars, masks, statues, etc., in suggestions of everyday scenes, bringing history to life in a reimagined manner.

  • Object to Module: Arranging elements according to modules provides different levels of exhibition. Changing the point of view for each piece also allows for a certain interactivity with the archaeological element in some cases.
